We know glass has different types, but for greenhouse, float glass and tempered glass are the most important two kinds of glass. Both kinds of glass have very good light transmittance, but they has a common problem: uneven light distribution in the greenhouse due to the greenhouse structure shadow. This problem will lead to many problem of plants growing and harvest in glass greenhouse.

Aixiang has finished the test for this diffusing glass in Yanting Industrial Park in Mianyang.
We choose cucumber and cherry tomato as the research subject (3 plants per square meter) in two greenhouse sections (each section is 240 square meter) with top diffusing glass and float glass. The time from seedling to finish harvest is 159 days (Cucumber), The time from seedling to finish harvest is 120 days (Tomato). Then we compare the data between diffusing glass plants and float glass plants.
The conclusion is:
1. Cucumber
1) If we don’t consider to extend the harvest period, the cucumber under diffusing glass will increase 10.67% yield than cucumber under float glass.
2) If we consider to extend the harvest period, the cucumber under diffusing glass will increase 36.43% yield than cucumber under float glass.
3) The Soluble sugar of cucumber under diffusing glass increase 3.6% than cucumber under float glass.
4) Total ascorbic acid of cucumber under diffusing glass increase 67.62% than cucumber under float glass.
2. Cherry Tomato
1) The cherry tomato under diffusing glass will increase 15.04% yield than cucumber under float glass.
2) Soluble Solid in cherry tomato under diffusing glass increase 12.5% than cherry tomato under float glass.
3) Vitamin C in cherry tomato under diffusing glass increase 10.7% than cherry tomato under float glass.
4) Sugar-acid ratio in cherry tomato under diffusing glass increase 17.8% than cherry tomato under float glass.
5) Lycopene in cherry tomato under diffusing glass increase 10.6% than cherry tomato under float glass.
So now you know why glass greenhouse prefer diffusing glass.
